After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University, he returned to his beloved hometown where he now resides with his wife and their two children. Like fellow Cascade resident Scott, Chris has a special connection to the Thornapple River, which has been a significant part of his life since childhood. His passion for the river fuels his commitment to preserving and enhancing this vital community resource.

As the owner and operator of a successful software development company based in Cascade, Chris has developed a strong acumen in responsible spending and smart fiscal planning. Chris has a robust record of service and dedication to the Cascade community. For seven years, he has been a member of the Cascade Planning Commission, including two years as Chair. He also serves on the Cascade Brownfield Authority, working on the redevelopment of underutilized properties for community benefit, and on the Cascade PFAS Advisory Commission, addressing critical environmental issues.
